This portfolio is homage to all the early wake-ups and nights of sleep lost; to the miles and blisters from long hikes; to the countless hours shivering waiting for dawn to break, all for the off chance of a sunrise. Whether trekking at 4,000m up in the mountains, knee deep in crashing waves or standing across from an active volcano, travel and exploration have always been essential in my love of photography. More often than not, these shoots end in failure. Nothing in nature can be taken for granted - which makes every sunset glow and every perfectly-timed cloud all that much more special.
